Aspen @ Wizard Chicago Con

[ENGLISH] Aspen tells us: The creators and artists of Aspen Comics will continue their exciting summer convention season by stopping off at Wizard’s Chicago Con 2009 on August 6th-9th. Fans of Aspen will be able to meet the Aspen crew, who will be signing autographs and releasing all new Chicago Con exclusive items only available at the Aspen Comics Booth #1210. Meet Frank Mastromauro (Dellec), Peter Steigerwald (Soulfire, Hulk), Vince Hernandez (Dellec), Mark Roslan (Heroes), J.T. Krul (Fathom, Mindfield), Micah Gunnell (Dellec) and Alex Konat (Mindfield) at the Aspen Booth all weekend long.

Aspen will be offering a special Aspen Splash Chicago Con 2009 exclusive cover by Joe Benitez and Peter Steigerwald, limited to 1000 copies, the other half to the previously released double-cover, also by Benitez and Steigerwald. The Aspen Splash 2009 Swimsuit Spectacular book features art by Aspen artists as well as a host of guest artists including Michael Turner, Joe Benitez, Micah Gunnell, Marcus To, Francis Manapul, Francisco Herrera and many more. Aspen will be offering the Splash exclusively at the Aspen Comics Booth.

A new set of Aspen’s trademark igh-quality prints will debut at the show as well, featuring Aspen’s most popular cover images and characters from titles such as Fathom, Soulfire, Shrugged, Dellec, Executive Assistant: Iris and more.

In addition to the Chicago Con exclusives, Aspen will be bringing along exclusives from this past week’s San Diego Comic Con International for Chicago fans to be able to pick up including Dellec #1 and Executive Assistant: Iris #2, as well as a small stock of the much sought after Michael Turner Fathom and Soulfire hard-bound sketchbooks. Aspen strongly encourages fans to pick up the sketchbooks early as they anticipate selling out– quantities are highly limited.

The Aspen Comics Panel on Friday from 5-6pm in the Mike Wieringo Room will showcase Aspen’s upcoming titles including the new properties Mindfield and The Scourge, and more. The entire Aspen Comics team will be on hand at the panel to also discuss Aspen’s latest Hollywood developments concerning the recently announced Soulfire feature film and will update fans on the Fathom feature film currently on the horizon. The Aspen crew will also answer fans questions in a very intimate Q&A sessions Aspen fans will not want to miss. All panel attendees will also receive a special Dellec #1 Panel Exclusive cover available only at Aspen Comics panels this convention season.
