[ENGLISH] Viper Comics Launches All Horror Imprint « Black Mamba Books » Premiere Issue Will Be The Cult-Classic ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES! After much work and planning, Viper Comics is proud to announce the launch of its new imprint, an all horror-based line of comics and graphic novels entitled Black Mamba Books. The new imprint is set to officially launch with the release of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes! in October 2008. A « special Comic-Con advance edition » of Issue 1 of the AKT! comic which will be available to a select few at this year’s Comic-Con 2008 in San Diego July 24-27.

Not since the super-secret invasion of Canada (if we told you, we’d have to kill you) has military operative Mason Dixon faced such a grave challenge. They’re red. They’re high in lycopene. They are most certainly lethal…and they ARE among us. Dixon and his team of highly trained specialists are all that stand between us and THE ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES!

A NEW film adaptation of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes! is being developed by M. Dal Walton III’s Second Wind Entertainment with the creative forces behind the internet phenomenon « Ask A Ninja, » Kent Nichols and Douglas Sarine, ( www.askaninja.com ) to adapt the property for the big screen and Nichols to make his much anticipated feature film directorial debut. The Black Mamba Books comic book is being adapted from the original film by Dale Mettam with artwork by Erich Owen and edits by Greg Blohm & Joe Bauer.

Viper is also currently in negotiations with Tony Todd (Candyman, Final Destination 3, Chuck TV Show, 24 TV show), Christa Campbell (Day of the Dead, The Wicker Man, Kraken: Tentacles of the Deep, 2001 Maniacs), and The Frog Brothers’ Jamison Newlander (Lost Boys: The Tribe, The Blob), and Corey Feldman (Lost Boys: The Tribe, Terror Inside, Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go!) to bring their original horror stories to Black Mamba Books.
