Golly @ Image Comics

[ENGLISH] When the apocalypse is canceled, the demon hordes of hell get angry in the pages of August’s GOLLY, courtesy of THE DARKNESS’ Phil Hester and rising star Brook Turner. « Everything I’ve written to date has had a Frank Capra positivity to it, but GOLLY is sort of my dark side on display, » said Hester. « Fans of books like PREACHER will be happy to see gratuitous swearing and inappropriate, gory humor return to comics. Everyone at Image is going to hell for this. » To combat the Devil’s minions, Heaven chooses a dimwitted, kindhearted, foul-mouthed carnival ride repairman to wage war on any demonic forces bent on starting something come Judgment Day. This ongoing series details a world of rampaging were-hogs, obese goth vampires, muscle-bound beauty queens, and hell-fighting carnies. Slick back your mullet, change into your Sabbath t-shirt, and saddle up for a southern fried rock opera of horror the likes of which have never been seen.

GOLLY #1, a full color, 32-page ongoing series for $3.50, will be in-stores August 13th.
