Iron Man Video Game In Stores In North America

[ENGLISH] SEGA® of America, Inc. today announced that the Iron Man video game is now in stores across North America. This intense action-shooter puts players in control of one of Marvel’s most powerful Super Heroes and gives them the chance to master both air and ground combat against vicious enemies. Based on the Marvel Studios film which opens in theaters around the world today, Iron Man features the voice talent of Robert Downey Jr, Terrence Howard and Shawn Toub.

This powerful game immerses players in the world of Tony Stark – the brilliant industrialist and inventor who both created and became the world’s toughest hero – Iron Man. Using the advanced technology in Iron Man’s refined suits, gamers can evolve this devastating weapon with a wide array of high-impact projectiles and ammunition. Players will speed through massive open-ended battlefields, strategically blowing up and destroying any enemy force while using that enemy’s own weaponry and vehicles against them. Iron Man will also offer unlockable suits from the rich comic book history including (but not limited to) the Extremis suit, the Classic suit, and the Hulkbuster suit – each of which features its own strengths and weapons.

Iron Man is coming out on multiple systems and each game has its own unique gameplay features. Using the high-end technology of the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, gamers explore and conquer huge open worlds and stunning environments. The PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and Windows-based PC versions take the sprawling outdoor worlds of the next-gen games into dark indoor areas that can be systematically ripped apart as players face and defeat vicious enemies. The Wiiž home video game console version takes advantage of the unique Wii controls to offer an unparalleled interactive experience in both outdoor and indoor environments from the Iron Man world. The PSP (PlayStation®Portable) system’s version of Iron Man offers exclusive mini-games that bring a competitive edge to the handheld gaming experience in addition to the story-based single-player gameplay. Finally, the Nintendo DSž game, a true arcade-inspired shooter, takes advantage of the stylus and Touch Screen to bring a challenging gaming adventure.

The Iron Man video game is in stores today for Xbox 360®, Wiiž, PLAYSTATION®3 system, PlayStation®2 system, DS and the PSP system, with the Windows-based PC version to follow shortly.
