Captain America Lives! Captain America Est Vivant!

[FRENCH] Nous savions depuis une semaine que Marvel allait annoncer le retour de Captain America pour le mois de janvier 2008 (aux USA). Mais la maison des idées était restée vague sur le sujet, ne donnant aucun visuel en particulier. C’est donc désormais officiel depuis aujourd’hui (annoncé sur marvel.com). Le héros a la bannière étoilée reviendra dans Captain America#34.

[ENGLISH] We knew for a week that Marvel was about to announce Captain America’s return for January 2008. But the House of Ideas remained vague about the event, not even giving us a teaser to satisfy our curiosity. It was made official today (on marvel.com). The star-spangled hero will be back in Captain America#34.

[FRENCH] Que savons-nous ? Nous savons que les designs du nouveau costume ont été réalisés par Alex Ross. Cela aura-t-il un impact sur la mini-série Avengers/Invaders annoncée en Août dernier (dans Comic Box#48) ? Notre premier réflexe est de penser qu’ « iron-cap » est le Captain America recruté par Tony Stark (Iron Man). Marvel serait donc en train de refaire le coup de l’armure qu’elle avait déjà utilisée dans Captain America (dans les années 90) et plus récemment dans Spider-Man. L’identité de ce nouveau Captain America n’a pas été révélée (Steve Rogers, lui, est toujours ad patres). Plus de détails, bientôt dans Comic Box…

[ENGLISH] What do we know? We know that the designs came out of Alex Ross’ gifted mind. Will this have an impact on the Avengers/Invaders mini-series (that we talked about in Comic Box#48 in August) ? Our first thought is that this « Iron Cap » is Tony Stark (Iron Man)’s new recruit. It was obvious since Captain America#32 (read it for those who haven’t already !). This Captain also has… a gun ?!? Exactly like in the 40s movie serial (a fact that was even mentioned in an episode from Captain America in the seventies where Steve Rogers visits the set of the serial). A lot of questions are raised by this new costume. Is Marvel trying to do the « armor hero trick » again like they did with Spider-Man ? Is this one gonna last ? And most of all, who is he ?… Guess we’ll have to wait until next year to find out. More on the subject, soon… in Comic Box…
